Exciting times ahead for you, I’m sure! Love your bravery and ability to make your own rules as you venture out on your next chapter and journey. My dream scenario is France, a few months there every year and back and forth to Canada, until I can stay as long as possible. Thanks for all of your helpful info, good luck and looking forward to future posts!

Best of luck for your travels and the drop off Jo. We’re about to drop my son off in college in the US (we live in Kent!) so can totally sympathise with the odd mixture of fears and excitement as they strike out in their own for the first time!

Oh wow! Thats a long way away! The very best of luck to your son. I’m sure he’ll have an absolute blast. Let’s touch base in a couple of months Terry & have a virtual glass of wine to toast their independence! 😁😎

You're reminding me of dropping off our daughter at acting school eleven years ago (in the states, though her boyfriend-now-husband who was also an actor took a semester abroad in Glasgow).

How long did it take you to stop worrying?

The serious worrying ended after about a week. The tiny worrying? Still happening. :D

Lovely! One thing I wasn't anticipating in my 50s is that I'd be starting over as much as I did in my 30s. You are an inspiration and reminder that it is okay to keep exploring.

Great insight Deirdre. Yep me too. I kind of thought I’d have it all figured out by now. But how boring would that be!? Life’s an adventure for sure! 🥳
