"This isn’t the time to wind down at all". That is so true. 🤍

Yes! Just the other day I said, readiness is for people who never start anything. ☺️ I had a wonderful first act, successful, so much joy, happiness, and adventure, but in my second half I’m taking things so much bigger. I suppose we get closer to the end of this life and think, why the hell not? So I’m with you, my friend. Let’s go out blazing. 🔥

This really resonates with me, Jo. ❤️ I love your encouragement to make life bigger, bolder and braver rather than gradually shrinking it down as we get older.

In my experience, the hormonal transition can become a catalyst for women to realise that perhaps it's not just menopause that needs their attention. Sometimes it exposes the cracks created by years of stress, poor nourishment, lack of rest and putting everyone else first.

There's more than one reason why it's nicknamed The Change. Time to choose to put ourselves first again, or at least closer to the top of that list.

The question I'm increasingly interested in is: "How do I build the body to support the life that I want to live?"

The body isn't the project. The life is. ❤️

Here's to making it a bloody good one. 🥂

You’re so right Vikki. Building the body to support the life is a lifelong pursuit, but as you say, it’s the life that’s the project & goal. Love it. ❤️

I think one of the best surprises of getting older is realizing I’m not winding down. I’m finally brave enough to build a life that actually looks like mine.

I'm younger than you (38) but still found this article SO inspiring, and relevant for anyone at any age. We have to keep going (no matter the hardship) and continue to try to live bold, follow dreams and be true to ourselves. Thank you for reminding me through this piece, I reealllyyy needed to stumble upon this one today.
