My dad was stationed at RAF Mildenhall when I went to high school in the late 80s. As teenagers, my friends and I would take a bus to the outskirts of London, then buy an all-day Tube pass. I wish I was more of a picture taker back then. But just the memories are amazing enough. I'm sure it's completely different now, nearly 40 years later, but I hope to get back again at least once.
I just came back to this city that you love...I've been coming back to it for decades, each time seeing new things. Was here in November as the holiday season was amping up with the lights and events....so beautiful. As a usually solo traveler I feel like there is more to be cautious about, but I try to stay in lit areas at night and stick with crowds. It's just nice to be back...thanks for the great overview!
I loved our Christmas in London but egads the trains were truly awful. I hadn't heard about all of the stabbings and phone snatching. Sounds like things have gotten even worse than three years ago.
The phone snatchings have got pretty bad from what I understand. But regards stabbings I still feel very safe walking about the city. They’re pretty random & not a daily occurrence. But it’s a big city so there’s always going to be the bad with the good. Still love it here though. 😍

London is one of my absolute favorites. I've been many times and always ready to travel there. Love the musicals especially.
