I admire you for undertaking this reassessment of your life and I look forward to reading your daily updates.

One question I'd like to ask, is you mentioned "The long term goal of course is to enlighten, inspire & effect change in others" -- Can I ask why? And, is that really your long term goal or is there something deeper in the background?

What a great question, Ian! Thanks for asking. My answer is yes, it’s definitely a long term goal. For me, there’s something incredibly meaningful about building a body of work you enjoy creating while also having a positive effect on other people’s lives. 16 years ago I read The 4-Hour Workweek by Tim Ferriss and it completely changed the direction of my life. He’ll never know who I am, and that doesn’t matter in the slightest. The ripple effect still happened. So if something I write or create helps someone else think bigger, start over, take action, or believe a different kind of life is possible, then that feels like a pretty worthwhile thing to spend my time doing. Why am I wired that way? Honestly, I don’t fully know. Maybe partly because it feels good to help people, maybe partly ego, probably a bit of both if I’m being truthful. But I’ve always been someone who wants to lift the people around me up, and I think the world could use a bit more of that. 😁🙏

There's something very different about reading on a digital device.

I've read about 25 books this year - I read a lot - and they are all hard/soft back. All in long form.

On the other hand, reading on a digital device is more enjoyable if it's in bite sized pieces. A bit like how I watch TV/films now. I prefer to watch in chunks - episodes in dramas but also watching a film in 2 sittings.

So this is a very long way of saying shorter is more enjoyable for me on ipad/laptop - so I shall keep enjoying your musings. and do prefer 'in your voice'..

Thanks Caroline! I always appreciate your feedback. And I think there's so much info out there these days, shorter is better. Although it's testing my brevity muscle which has never been my strong suit! 🙏😁

I started writing for me last month. I’m not sure where it will take me, but I won’t know if I don’t try.

Exactly Kay, we’ll never know if we don’t try! Here’s to our collective success 🥳

I love this energetic shift. I always find that magic happens when we simply become the art instead of trying to make something.

Thanks Stacey. Beautifully worded. ❤️
