Well later today anyway. The homeowner we’ve been sitting for returns this afternoon & Rhett’s offered to go pick her up from the airport (he’ll do anything for a 5* review! 😉)
Then it’s off to the desert, where BBC weather has reliably informed me it will be twice the temperature it is here!

But first, I wanted to brighten your day with some sage advice from my younger self!
I’ve decided I want to add YouTube to my mix of content.
Why the heck would I do that on top of everything else you may ask?
Well, it works super well with Substack (any lives I record automatically get posted on YouTube). It’s a search engine in its own right. Long form content has been proven to create more engagement with an audience than short form, and with the benefit of AI, every video can be easily chopped into clips, so you can gather more attention with short form also!
All I need to do is record one 20 minute video a week, and bearing in mind I’m belting out articles like there’s no tomorrow I have plenty of topics to cover!
(NB: we’re talking low production, low editing here. Apparently ‘raw’ is the new trend. Works for me!)
So this morning I gave myself a bloody good laugh, as I started going through some of my old videos, and I thought it would be fun to share some with you!

Last but not least, this was my very first episode of Make It Happen Monday which I ran religiously every Monday for about 2 years and it never took off.
Proof that consistency alone isn’t enough to make something fly….

I’m not sure how I’m going to outdo myself. I mean these are a pretty tough act to follow, but I’ll be sure to let you know when my first video is live, so at the very least you can come and have a good laugh 😆
