So many of these are things I’ve been reminding myself lately; use the good stuff, make memories, stay curious, and stop waiting for the “right” time. And #14 made me laugh because that one would be a serious challenge for me. I’ve never liked having my picture taken and am usually the person behind the camera. But you’re right, the future version of me probably won’t care how I looked that day, she’ll just be grateful to have the picture.
Here’s to the next chapters, the plot twists, and making sure fear doesn’t get to write the ending. 💚
Happy birthday month! What a great list. I will also be celebrating my birthday. One year older than you. Hehe. At this age, I am definitely paying more attention to friendships and to my health than I used to.
You provide some excellent advice here, and I hope many people take you up on it. I encourage you to keep that promise about writing a book. As a professor, I have written a few nonfiction books, but the one that stands out is the first novel I wrote. I never found a publisher for it, but I’m very happy that I wrote it. I’m proud that I finished it for one thing, and the act of writing fiction is pure joy for me. As you mentioned in one of your promises, sometimes it’s smart to do the thing just to do it.

Dreams definitely change & living life at 50 is of course very different to life in our 30’s.
Money absolutely is to be used for what you love! You work bloody hard enough for it!
And yes save some for another day.
