Naps, Snacks, Zero KPIs: The Dog's Onto Something
A book to finish, a number to hit, and a dog who's figured out life better than all of us.
It’s Monday morning here in Encinitas, and I’m easing into the week with a cuppa, a sea view, and a to-do list that’s making me slightly twitchy.
Teddy, meanwhile, is asleep.

This is Teddy’s entire agenda for the week: sleep, snacks, the occasional walk, and a firm expectation of belly rubs on demand.
He has no KPIs. He’s not “leveraging” anything. He has never once felt behind. And looking at him, cosy on the sofa without a care in the world, I reckon he’s cracked it.
But as the saying goes, there’s no rest for the wicked, so I do in fact have a couple of things I’m chasing this week.
The big one: I want to finish my book. Freedompreneur has been lurking on my hard drive in various states of nearly-done for longer than I’d care to admit, and I even received a well timed email this week from a reader asking if I had any books, (thank you so much for asking). So this week my big goal is to stop messing about and actually finish the darn thing.
This Big World, my little travel challenge cards business, is having its best month ever. We’re at 87 sales for the month, and I’d love to crack 100 before it ends. My long-term goal is 100 sales a day, but right now a hundred in a month is a milestone, it’s the best we’ve ever done, and I’m learning to celebrate the small wins on the way to the big ones. So 100 it is.
So that’s me. A book to finish and a number to hit. Teddy thinks I’m overcomplicating my life, and he’s probably right.

Team Teddy all the way, I’ve got a new Pup 🐶 arriving on Saturday ( one of this goals ) so been mad busy puppy proofing house, garden and endless shopping, bit like having a new child. Whilst trying to build my Satsman army https://satsman.com/?ref=m30scs. But also trying to conserve energy for the new arrival. So team Teddy sounds great but unlikely.
