Hi Tiffany, thank you so much for inspiring my first podcast! 🙏 Regards your question I think I probably need to understand what your goals are a bit more to give you an accurate response, but so much of our time is spent doing unneccessary 'stuff' because a) we haven't got clear on what our end goal is, b) we're trying to do too much, be everywhere, follow the gurus etc. The challenge we have these days isn't figuring out what to do, it's working out what not to do as there are just so many options. We will move much faster if we focus on one unwavering goal and put 100% into just that one thing. That's where the 'do more with less' comes in. However, I too get regularly caught in the trap of taking on too much, diversifying my focus and not working too hard. We're all human after all! 😊 I think may main tips are to 1. Get crystal clear about what you want to happen. Why are you doing what you're doing? What's the end goal? 2. Work out the how with first principle thinking. What's the straightest line to achieve the goal and what suits you? (No point in starting a youtube channel if you hate making videos for example). 3. Take the most impactful actions to achieve your goal, and No 4. Stick with it! If other people have made it work, so can you, but most fall before they get anywhere because they won't carry on through the part where no one's showing up and they feel invisible. It takes time to achieve anything worthwhile, so you have to be willing to back yourself and keep going even when you don't see much happening. I hope that's helped and answered your question?
Funnily enough I went and listened to your ‘How to be a digital nomad in your 50’s & beyond’ after sending you the message, where you actually addressed the very thing I named!!
I’m going to get a bit more serious with myself.
I did the quizzes and have done answers around how things could work best for me. None of it overly surprising, I think it’s the same old, same old that keeps me stuck.
Loved this and it’s so good to hear that despite all your nomadic travels, you still have a strong English accent Jo 😅
5 moves that matter is my biggest takeaway from this, although I am going to listen again a because you have so much great advice. Looking forward to the next one 💖
A fab listen. Yes it’s Tiffany, the very same who wrote that comment.
Whilst I would love to life with more flexibility, I am also running a tad shy of the endless plugs to ‘do more with less’.
What are 3 main tips you would suggest to get aside from all the noise & work out what is the right path/fit?
